LOCO HILLS WELLSITE ACCOMMODATIONS

In the heart of southeastern New Mexico’s oil and gas corridor, the North Delaware Basin continues to drive energy production at an unprecedented pace. For companies operating in these areas, meeting these demands means mobilizing skilled teams to remote job sites quickly and ensuring they have a safe, comfortable, and functional place to live and work. When the need arose for rapid deployment of housing and office space in Loco Hills, New Mexico, our client turned to Black Diamond Lodging for a solution that could keep pace with the project’s intensity.

The challenge was clear: provide quality accommodations and workspaces quickly, in a remote desert environment, all while ensuring workers had a safe and restful space to call home after long days in the field. Traditional construction methods couldn’t deliver on the timeline or flexibility needed, so the answer was modular.

With just 14 days from construction start to occupancy, Black Diamond Lodging delivered a complete, turnkey modular solution. The scope included multiple modular assets designed to meet both residential and operational needs. Comfortable 3-person sleepers give crews a quiet and secure place to rest, supporting well-being and performance during long rotations. Paired with fully equipped office complexes and recreation areas, the site was designed to support a healthy work-life balance, even in one of the most rugged and remote corners of the country.

To support site functionality in this off-grid location, Black Diamond also delivered full water and septic services, enabling full use of the facilities without delays or interruptions. With crews moving in on May 1, the project was handed over on time and within scope—a testament to the speed, scalability, and reliability of modular construction when done right.

Beyond meeting the immediate need for housing and officing, the Loco Hills project highlights how modular solutions can reduce operational disruption, minimize downtime, and keep projects on schedule in the most remote and demanding environments.
