When the devastating fire struck Paradise, California in November 2018, thousands of residents lost their homes. The masses of destroyed homes required a massive cleanup operation, which involved more than 1,500 crew members working tirelessly to restore the area. s remediation efforts began in 2019, Black Diamond Group along with Odin Construction mobilized nearly 300 modulars to provide temporary housing for these cleanup crews.
These accommodations offered comfortable living spaces that accommodated more than 1,400 people. Each module was equipped with amenities such as television, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and washrooms. Additionally, the facility included recreation facilities, a gym, an entertainment room, and a large kitchen and dining area. The project demonstrated efficiency by repurposing pre-existing modules from Black Diamond Group's inventory, resulting in cost savings and environmental friendliness. The continuous construction of Camp Fire Lodge did not disrupt the cleanup progress; as each block of three units was installed, crews could immediately occupy the space and continue their vital work. The effort exemplified resilience and community support during a challenging time for Paradise, California.
